Our Mission

The mission of the project is to create a unique advanced research curriculum for students and early-career scientists, who will lead future neuropharmacological research, and form a cluster of institutions of excellence in the fields of Neuropsychopharmacology.

The project will provide students, and PhD programme participants with lectures and training in emerging topics and research methodologies.
We focus on brain research – study of neuronal and molecular mechanisms involved in the actions of cannabidiol.

Project duration: 1st November 2022 – 31st October 2025

Partners

4 European partners – leading European brain research centres in development of novel treatments of psychiatric disorders:

Maj Institute of Pharmacology of the Polish Academy of Sciences

🎥❄️ Although several months have passed since the 2026 Winter School, today we are revisiting this special event with the release of a report summarizing the final TrePsy School. The film is also an opportunity to reflect on three years of collaboration within the TrePsy consortium, a Horizon Europe Twinning project bringing together leading researchers and institutions from across Europe. In the video, participants, lecturers, and project partners share their perspectives on the project's key achievements and the future of research in neuropsychopharmacology.Over the course of the TrePsy project, we:🔹 organized six international scientific schools,🔹 advanced a systems-oriented approach to studying the mechanisms of Cannabidiol (CBD),🔹 applied cutting-edge multiomics technologies and advanced in vivo imaging methods,🔹 launched a University Specialist programme focused on cannabinoid derivatives,🔹 made more than 20 online lectures available to the scientific and educational community,🔹 strengthened collaboration between the Instytut Farmakologii im. Jerzego Maja Polskiej Akademii Nauk and partner institutions in France, Germany, and Spain. One of the themes that emerged during the project's final activities was the growing role of Artificial Intelligence in neuropsychopharmacology and its potential to shape the future of biomedical research.🎬 youtu.be/-kRZjzbheX0We invite you to watch the report and join us in looking back on this remarkable scientific journey.Zentralinstitut für Seelische GesundheitUMH Universidad Miguel HernándezNeurocentre MagendieInstytut Farmakologii im.
