Prof. Jorge Manzanares Robles is Professor of Pharmacology and Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy at Miguel Hernández University (UMH) in Alicante, where he also leads the Translational Neuropsychopharmacology Laboratories at the Institute of Neurosciences (UMH–CSIC). He obtained his PhD in Pharmacology at the Complutense University of Madrid and subsequently conducted research for six years at Michigan State University (USA). His work focuses on the neuropsychopharmacology of neuropsychiatric disorders. He has led more than 67 research projects and published 224 papers in international journals (h-index: 57; >9,900 citations). In 2024, he was included in the top 2% most-cited scientists worldwide (Stanford/Elsevier ranking). For over a decade, he has served as director of the Master’s program in Translational Neuropsychopharmacology and the expert program in Cannabinoids at UMH. Prof. Manzanares has extensive experience in international scientific collaboration and communication—he has delivered over 400 lectures in more than 30 countries. He is a member of multiple academies of sciences in Europe and the Americas and holds roles in international associations of faculties of pharmacy, currently serving as President of COIFFA and a Board Member of EAFP.
