Between the 26th and 29th of February in Institute the Twinning TrePsy project’s Winter School hosted a series of workshops and lecture sessions, emphasizing the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in neuroscience and neuropsychopharmacology research, with a specific focus on recent discoveries concerning the mechanisms of action of cannabinoids. On 26th February, 2024 the workshops welcomed 12 scientists who, under the supervision of Konrad Danielewski from the Marcell Nencki Institute of Experimental Biology of the Polish Academy of Sciences, engaged in neural network training with selected video recordings from their behavioral experiments. On 29th February 2024, 2 lectures were presented as part of the session. The first lecture was presented by dr Akseli Graf from the Central Institute of Psychiatry in Mannheim, who presented the latest recommendations related to the use of artificial intelligence in research and examples of emerging issues. The second lecture was given by Prof. Francisco Navarrete from the Institute of Neuroscience in Alicante, who presented new possibilities in research and the results of recent studies on the effect of endocannabinoids on impulsive behaviour.
